Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Concludes Two-Day Cairo Visit, Highlights Regional Issues at D-8 Summit

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has returned to Pakistan after completing a two-day visit to Cairo, where he participated in the 11th Summit of the Developing Eight (D-8) from December 18 to 19.

At Cairo International Airport, he was seen off by Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Dr. Sameh Ahmed Al-Hafni, and officials from the Pakistani Embassy.

During the Summit, the Prime Minister delivered a significant address, emphasizing the humanitarian crisis and the reconstruction challenges in Gaza and Lebanon, worsened by Israeli aggression in the Middle East.

Shehbaz Sharif also engaged with other heads of state to discuss pressing regional and global issues.

The Pakistani delegation accompanying the Prime Minister included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, along with Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar.
